REGIONAL REPRESENTATIVES
The Voice of your Intergroup Region Representatives (RRs) are the vital link between local intergroups and Region 2. They carry their intergroup’s conscience to the Region and bring back information and resources to strengthen local recovery. Each intergroup is entitled to one RR for every ten affiliated meetings (or fraction thereof). Unaffiliated groups may also send one RR. Travel and participation costs are typically covered by the sending group or intergroup. RRs attend Region 2 Assemblies twice a year, vote on motions, serve on committees, and help guide the business and direction of the region. They also keep their local intergroup informed about regional and OA-wide developments. RRs are selected by their intergroup in any manner consistent with the Twelve Steps, Twelve Traditions, and Twelve Concepts of OA Service. |
