RESPONSIBILITY PLEDGE Committee

Responsibility Pledge Statement of Purpose
​The purpose of the Responsibility Pledge Committee is to strengthen communication, connection, and engagement throughout Region 2 by helping carry the message of recovery to the still-suffering compulsive overeater.

The committee supports Region 2 service bodies through outreach, visibility, collaboration, and strategic communication efforts that increase awareness of Overeaters Anonymous and encourage participation in the Fellowship at every level of service.

​Grounded in the Responsibility Pledge, the committee works to ensure that whenever anyone, anywhere reaches out for help, the hand and heart of OA in Region 2 are available.
Duties and Responsibilities:​
  • Help create connection, excitement, and fellowship throughout Region 2.
  • Support workshops, events, outreach efforts, and creative ways of carrying the message.
  • Collaborate with Intergroups and committees to strengthen participation and engagement across the Region.
  • Assist with communication, promotion, and visibility for Region 2 activities and opportunities for service.
  • Bring ideas, energy, and willingness to help make Region 2 feel welcoming, connected, and alive.
  • Attend committee meetings, participate between meetings as able, and help move projects forward as part of a team.
  • Communicate with the Region Board through the Board Liaison and provide updates on committee activities and goals.
  • Communicate to the R2 Board through the Board Liaison.
